Feedlot
Rod’s Feedlot products are formulated for grain-based rations, delivering a balanced blend of essential minerals, trace elements, and vitamins to improve feed efficiency, growth, and animal health in intensive systems. The InGrain pellets, are small and dense, to mirror cereal grain particles, ensuring uniform mixing, reduced sorting, and strong palatability. Their robust structure can withstand handling, augering, and transport, minimising fines and maintaining ration consistency, even in automated or multi-transfer systems.
Produced in-house on a dedicated mineral pellet press, every batch ensures uniform composition and dependable supply. High-concentration formulas deliver more minerals per kilogram, reducing inclusion rates. Up to three complementary rumen buffers, support acidosis prevention and rumen stability on high grain diets. All formulations are developed by leading nutritionists, Prof. Paul Cusack and Deb Scammell, using peer-reviewed data to achieve precise mineral balance. Custom premixes are available for large TMR feedlot operations.

Comparisons
InGrain Mineral Pellets vs Feed Mill Pellets
Feed Mill Pellets
Most competing “mineral pellets” are actually feed mill pellets, made in mills that also produce full-feed pellets. To keep production up and costs down, these mills regularly adjust filler ingredients and rely on lower mineral concentrations.
This can lead to pellets that vary between batches, are softer and are prone to crumbling and stock sorting in self-feeders.
Rod’s InGrain Pellets are made differently
We make a true mineral pellet using the same fixed raw-material recipe every time, with a higher mineral concentration. This produces a denser consistent palatable pellet that mixes evenly through grain.
In a recent on farm trial as seen in the below video, our InGrain pellets mixed evenly and weren’t sorted, while a the feed mill pellet was sorted.
